MOVEMENT MATTERS WITH CHRISTINA WHELAN CHABOT

I would love to introduce to you Christina Whelan-Chabot.

Her business, Matters of Movement supports clients to find the freedom that a fit and healthy body and mind will provide.

Christina lives with her family on their beloved farm in Ontario. She is best-selling co-author in the You’ve Got This, Mama series and juggles motherhood, a role at the family business and her Pilates business (Matters of Movement).

During COVID-19, she began a Move Better, Feel Better campaign directly supporting women’s mental health. Through the purchase of custom tank tops the Move Better, Feel Better campaign will donate to the Women’s College Hospital Foundation – Mental Health Program.

THIS EPISODE DIGS INTO:

  • THE IMPACT OF COVID19 ON MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH AND HOW MOVEMENT MATTERS:
    • It is no surprise that maternal mental health has been negatively affected by COVID-19. Many mothers are carrying a greater than normal emotional load (the invisible and underappreciated load) than usual.
    • Physical activity and lifestyle choices are going to be key in how people get through. To help, Christina started a campaign called Move Better Feel Better, which is benefiting Women’s College Hospital Foundation specifically for women’s mental health. You can purchase your tank top here!
  • WHAT IS PILATES? WHAT IS THE OOV?
    • Christina dives in to what these unique movement modalities are and the benefits of them on both our physical and mental health.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE:

  • CHRISTINA’S TIPS FOR BALANCING MOTHERHOOD, MOVEMENT AND BUSINESS
    • Be sure to listen in to hear both Christina and Carly’s messages about entrepreneurship, boundary setting and running a business while being a mom.
