Hey, I’m Carly
THIS IS MY STORY.
← That’s me
Me, in my pyjama pants, messy hair and twin baby girls on my lap.
Like you, I lost myself after becoming a mother.
Before having my kids, I was successful, driven and organized.
I was a medical doctor at 29 years old. I had married my high school sweetheart. We lived in our dream house.
Life was exactly what I’d always imagined it would be.
And then I became their Mom. And it was the biggest, most incredible and world-shaking event of my life.
Bringing two new lives into the world made me question everything I had thought I wanted.
Not only that, but all of the goals and dreams that once lit me up became buried under overwhelm, self-doubt and doing allofthethings that came with being a mom. I felt like I was drowning as I tried to uphold everything that society told me I was “supposed” to do in order to be successful.
All of a sudden, that beautiful home and stable job seemed like a trap – I craved more connection, more adventure and especially, more freedom to explore the world with them.
Deep down, when I really leaned in and listened, I heard something from my intuition that I tried hard to deny for a long time:
There was something more for me.
There was a life that I was meant for, that could provide me more than what my current life did.
More flexibility. More connection. More purpose. More helping others. More time for myself. More time with my kids. More adventure. More alignment with my truth. More freedom.
So I devoted myself to building my dream business, so I could have all of these things, while being the best mother I could be.
TO DO THIS I HAD TO SORT OUT A FEW THINGS:
- I had to learn how to quiet the chaos in my mind – the incessant worrying, anxiety, overwhelm that had become my normal so that I could get clear on what I really wanted for my life and how my business would support that.
- I had to find the courage to honour my dreams and and protect my baby business from outside obstacles (not enough time, judgment from others, expectations) and inside obstacles (fear of failure, imposter syndrome, self-doubt).
- I had to learn to create time in my life to devote to building my business in a way that supported my family and aligned with my role as a mother.
- I needed to learn how to quiet my inner critic and protect my self-care time so I could develop a resilient entrepreneurial mindset.
AND I WANT TO HELP YOU DO THE SAME, SIS.
I have the honour to work with incredible aspiring mompreneurs and help them uncover their “something more” and build the business of their dreams.
I have created a successful online coaching business and have helped over 100 women overcome worry, overwhelm and mindset blocks that keep them stuck.
I successfully find flow and balance between my role as a mother, small town family doctor and online entrepreneur, while still finding time to prioritize myself and avoid burnout.
My family and I are currently in the process of downsizing and moving into a tiny home so we can travel full-time and live the intentional, minimal and
values-based lifestyle that we value.
I feel confident every single day that I am creating the life of my dreams:
one in which I honour myself,
live a life of purpose and in the pursuit of joy,
prioritize being a present and calm mom,
live in alignment with my values and
have the time, location and financial freedom I want.

Dr. Carly Crewe is a mom to twin toddlers, a medical doctor specializing in maternal mental health AND an Anxiety + Mindset Coach for Moms and Mompreneurs who are stuck in overwhelm, self-doubt and indecision. She uses a combination of cognitive behavioural strategies, life coaching techniques and motivational interviewing to support moms to quiet the chaos in their lives and master their mindset so that they can build the life (and online business) that they dream of, without sacrificing their role as a mother.
After becoming a mother and struggling with postpartum mental illness, Carly’s goals for life changed. She felt a deep desire to have a purpose outside of motherhood and wanted more time, more freedom and more adventure for herself and her family than her current role provided. Combining her own experience and her medical degree, she built her own business to not only achieve these life goals for herself, but to also help women to overcome their own mindset challenges.
Carly is an MD specializing in maternal and child mental health. She is the founder and facilitator of the MomTribe Postpartum Support Group and has been awarded the Outstanding New Professional Award in 2019 from the Alberta College of Family Physicians. She’s has been hosted on over 10 popular podcasts (including The Momfidence Podcast and You’ve Got This, Mama) and is the host of the Mind Over Motherhood Podcast. Carly combines her experience and training in cognitive behavioural therapy, life coaching and motivational interviewing techniques to help her clients overcome the mental clutter that is holding them back so they can thrive in motherhood and build their dream business in alignment with their role as a mother.
As her motto suggests, motherhood is only one part of who we are as women and all women should have the tools and support to build the life they dream of: you’re more than just a mother, and there’s nothing wrong with that!
